Cambridge nearly broke me twice – once as an undergrad reading Classics, then again during my PhD in Ancient History. But surviving those supervisions with some truly terrifying dons taught me resilience and how to craft arguments that can withstand serious intellectual scrutiny.

I’ve been helping students for nine years now, primarily in Humanities and Social Sciences. My specialty areas include History, Classics, Philosophy, Theology, and Literature, though I’ve successfully guided students through interdisciplinary projects that blend multiple fields. There’s something deeply satisfying about helping someone discover their unique scholarly voice.

What sets me apart is my experience with both the British tutorial system and American dissertation processes. I understand the cultural differences in academic expectations and can help international students navigate those transitions. Whether you’re dealing with viva preparation or dissertation defense, I know what examiners are really looking for beyond the obvious.

My track record includes over 280 successful projects with a 98% completion rate. Students often come to me when they’re stuck on theoretical frameworks or struggling to synthesize massive amounts of secondary literature. I work extensively with Oxford referencing (obviously), but I’m equally comfortable with MLA, Chicago, and other systems. My approach combines rigorous academic standards with genuine care for student wellbeing. The doctoral process can be isolating, and sometimes you just need someone who understands why Foucault is making you question your entire thesis.

When I’m not buried in manuscripts, I’m usually found in used bookshops, attempting to grow vegetables in my tiny Cambridge garden, or watching cricket (yes, I know it’s incomprehensible to most people). I also volunteer with a local literacy program because I believe good writing skills should be accessible to everyone.
